UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

Sustainability: the great challenge

Contemporary societies face unprecedented challenges today: the growing demand for services by the poverty-stricken parts of society, population growth, aging and climate change.

These issues manifest the obsolescence of many of the tools and strategies on which the European model has been built, and beyond, of economic development and social protection. A strong stimulus for a paradigm shift emerges from many parts, that is to try to overcome the crisis with courageous and innovative solutions.

The great challenge we face is all here: in the ability to simultaneously support processes of development, innovation and social inclusion, in a word: sustainable.

The 2030 Agenda

The 2030 Agenda incorporates 17 Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs - into a large action program for a total of 169 'targets' 0 goals.
UN countries have pledged to reach them by 2030.
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals design an inclusive development model and help us to achieve a useful, conscious and convincing convergence of our visions, actions, projects, skills and resources on shared social prosperity objectives.
Global goals include important aspirations that can change the world. Achieving them requires the collaboration of governments, international organizations and world leaders.

It seems impossible for an ordinary citizen to be able to make a difference. Does this mean giving up? No! It all starts with each one of us. Every human being on the planet, even the most indifferent and lazy, is part of the solution.
