Narrative itineraries in the Collio for sustainable development

9 narrative paths through the Collio area of Gorizia for a sustainable tourism model in line with the UN 2030 Agenda

Between the Isonzo River and its tributary Judrio, in an area between the Julian Alps and the Adriatic Sea, there are hills perfect for growing grapes and slow tourism.

This area, known as Collio, has represented a crossroads of peoples and cultures where the border has been synonymous with closure for years. Today it offers its visitors villas, castles and small villages framed by about 1,600 hectares of vineyards that produce fine varieties of wines with a Controlled Designation of Origin since 1968.

The GoGreen Project provides, through engaging storytelling, more interpretations of the Collio. The themes of Agenda 2030 have been declined in 8 stories focused on the three dimensions of sustainable development (economic, social and ecological), to encourage the local community, institutions, the public sector, private companies, farmers and wineries to operate in a manner consistent with the 17 UN goals.
